L'histoire suit trois garçons : Kōji Mihama, Hiro Hayami et Kazuki Nishina, qui rêvent de former un boys band et de devenir populaires auprès des filles. Ensemble, ils se préparent pour un concours majeur, la Prism King Cup, réservé aux garçons. Mais un groupe rival, baptisé Schwarz Rose, pourrait bien leur poser problème...
